Skier Yasmin Cooper has been selected for the British Ski & Snowboard development group for 2015/16 season – and has also been chosen by the sport’s English governing body Snowsport England to become a national ambassador for the sport.

The Chichester High School sixth-form student was selected to the initial screening for the squad earlier this year and has now completed fitness tests and workshops and has passed to gain her position following race performance during her 2014-15 season.

Cooper, 16 started skiing at the age of six on a family holiday and soon started slalom training and racing at the dry slope in Southampton and went on to compete in regional races around the country.
