Charman admits the kids are all right as Hornets earn maiden win
Striker Jamie Ampleford, 19, came up through the Horsham ranks and scored his first senior goal in yellow and green minutes before half time against Merstham.
Fellow young stars Harry Smith and Tom Frankland played all 90 minutes as Horsham won their first league game at the fifth attempt.

“Harry Smith on the left put on a really good display and Tom Frankland defended well.
“These are kids, so to step up to this level and give the performance that they did, I’m very proud of all of them - but not just the kids, the senior players as well because they definitely helped.”
Tony Nwachukwu’s dramatic late goal earned Horsham a first win of the season - they lost three and drew one of their opening four games.
Charman added: “The monkey is off my back now.

“With some good defending, real hard work and a fantastic finish at the end, we were able to get three points.”
