St Richards sporting glory
Around 60 pupils represented the college at the annual secondary school Town Sports Event held at the William Parker track in Hastings.
St. Richard's athletes won a large collection of individual medals with year 8 pupil, Loewy Simmons, being the only competitor on the day to win three different events.

Hide AdAnother pleasing success was for the year 10 girls' team who won their respective year competition.
When all the points were added together for all year groups, St. Richard's retained the Spar Cup for the fourth year running.
Last week, St. Richard's held its Sports Day with virtually every pupil from all year groups taking part.
Top performances on the day in which pupils set new college records were as follows:
Year 7 Girls Grace Cook 300m and 1500m
Year 7 Boys William Hood 100m and 200m
Year 8 Girls Rebecca Elphick 200m and 300m
Year 8 Boys Loewy Simmons 200m
Year 9 Girls Izzy Cook 800m
Year 9 Girls Tallulah Kudjo Shot Putt
Year 9 Girls Claire McGregor Triple Jump

Hide AdAlso, a group of five year 10's represented the college at the recent South East Regional Olympic Leaders Conference held in Crawley. The group looked at the Olympic and Paralympics values, school based Olympic events and were inspired by a talk from Paralympics swimmer, Ali Griffiths.
