Charity invites golfers to ‘Go Wild’
The event will be held on Thursday 4 September at the beautiful Gatton Manor Hotel and Golf Club, in Ockley near Dorking - one of the south east’s most picturesque and challenging courses.
Now in its second year, the charity challenge is a great opportunity for teams of four to tee off against rivals from all over Sussex and Surrey, including a team from the Born Free Foundation itself. With the coveted ‘Pride Jacket’ up-for-grabs, plus a host of other awards, there is plenty to play for!

Hide AdThe day includes refreshments on arrival, 18-holes, a three course presentation dinner, plus team and individual prizes. Overnight accommodation and a further round of golf on Friday 5 September can be arranged at a special rate for those wishing to extend their visit.
Last year’s event raised over £2,000 for the Born Free Foundation, supporting its work to ‘Keep Wildlife in the Wild’ by protecting threatened species in their natural habitats, stopping suffering and rescuing animals in need around the world.
Joanne Bartholomew, Born Free’s Events Coordinator is hoping that as many teams as possible will get involved this year. She explains: “This is the Foundation’s 30th year and we are looking for as many teams as we can to join us to make it an extra special day. We want everyone to enjoy the golf but to also realise that they are raising much needed funds which will be used to ensure the wellbeing of vulner
