Collectors along the route will be rattling buckets in aid of three charities this year – Northiam Pre-school, Northiam Scouts and Frewen College.
The procession can be noisy, so people take precautions with animals and young children.
It will be the first time since the 1950’s that Northiam has held a traditional Sussex bonfire event with torches.

Hide AdThe Society was set up by a small group of enthusiasts and has grown in size. It has been busy working hard to raise funds by holding regular quiz nights and other events at it’s Muddy Duck headquarters.
They have had support from companies such as Jempsons at Peasmarsh, who made a donation from its community fund.
No fireworks should be brought onto the fire site.
