She commented: “I think it is a very historic event and there will be a brilliant atmosphere and brilliant feeling if he was to do it.”

Hide AdShe added that while a person only needs one nomination, Jordan has received backing from friends and supporters and this number is growing all the time.
Jordan, now 16, said: “Basically I think that being a torch bearer would let me represent my town and Britain and I just think it would a memorable experience and an honour.”
A Bexhill High pupil about to face exams, Jordan has inspired many because of how he deals with the impact of Proteus Syndrome, a rare condition affecting his bone development.
Jordan was one of the Year 11 students who took part in their now traditional shirt-signing ceremony - but he used his prosthetic legs instead.

Hide AdHe is due for a new pair so got his friends to sign the old ones to keep.
Tracy said: “They were absolutely covered with people’s signatures. There were so many he needed to take his shoes and socks off so they could sign them as well.”
