Blood donor plea after bad weather hits stocks
Many donor sessions had to be cancelled after being hit by snow and ice over Christmas and into the New Year, which meant there was a dip in the number of blood collections.
Thankfully, the generosity of donors over the festive period meant that there was enough blood to meet hospital demands, but NHS Blood and Transplant (NHSBT) is stressing the need for donors old and new to keep up the good work.
