National coffee company may open cafe in Eastbourne station
Costa Coffee submitted the proposals, which outlines the possibility of moving into the old ticket office.
It would be the fourth shop from the chain to open in the town, with other outlets in Terminus Road, Langney Shopping Centre and The Beacon.

Hide AdIn the design and access statement submitted to the council, a Costa Coffee spokesperson said the high footfall in the station is ‘highly attractive’ to the company.
The proposals also say that the cafe would ‘seek to re-fit’ the old ticket office instead of changing and extending the space.
According to the proposals, the company plans to make the cafe’s appearance ‘appropriate’ to the ‘character’ of the railway station.
