The Mayor of Bognor Regis fears the second national lockdown will have a ‘serious effect’ on the local economy.

The country is back in lockdown from today (Thursday) in a bid to curb infection rates and protect the NHS. Prime Minister Boris Johnson announced the new four-week national lockdown at the weekend as Covid-19 cases continue to rise at a concerning rate.

It is due to be in place until December 2 and people are being asked to stay at home unless for specific purposes – such as childcare, exercise, buying food, or if you cannot work from home.
